Dr Smood is an organic food product seller, offering a variety of products including coffee beans, protein bars, olive oils, pastas, butters, teas, and sauces.
Dr Smood hired another agency to develop a custom theme for their Shopify website, but they received a bug-filled, slow, and incomplete website. Because of that, Dr Smood approached our agency in January 2021, seeking help to address these issues.
Our agency took over the existing custom theme and quickly fixed all the urgent bugs before the launch of the website in March 2021. After fixing these bugs, we helped Dr Smood set up basic email templates for things like order confirmations, shipping notifications, abandoned cart notifications, and others with Klaviyo.
Our agency also set up a subscriptions model for some of their products using the ReCharge Shopify App. Additionally, we added many integrations to the website, such as the ones mentioned before, and developed some new features and pages for the website in accordance with designs provided by Dr Smood.
Dr Smood's website had a performance issue, where the website was significantly slower than other similar websites, according to Shopify. Our agency took necessary steps to maximize the performance of the website, and speeds improved around 30-40%. We also created automations to help the Dr Smood e-commerce team's productivity.
